Official Rules for the HelpHuman Challenge

The challenge is intended for 2027. Dates are to be determined. Please check back for updates.

1. Sponsor

The sponsor is Unshaken Voice Productions, P.O. Box 113, Rural Valley, Pennsylvania 16249.

2. Purpose

HelpHuman identifies practical software, digital product, and systems ideas that genuinely help people, families, communities, organizations, and real-world needs.

3. Challenge type

The challenge is fully skill-based and judge-only. No public voting, popularity scoring, or purchase, payment, or donation requirement determines the outcome.

4. Eligibility

Eligibility may require age, residence, or other lawful conditions stated in the published entry form or cycle announcement. UVP may reject entries that fail the stated criteria or violate these rules.

6. How to enter

Submit through the official HelpHuman entry process when the cycle opens. The entry must be complete, truthful, and submitted by the entrant or an authorized representative where allowed by law.

7. Submission requirements

Submissions must include the required contact information, concept description, problem statement, intended users, how it works, why it matters, and any other cycle-specific fields requested by UVP.

8. Confidentiality

No confidentiality is created by entry unless UVP expressly agrees in a separate written agreement. UVP may review and evaluate the submission, but that review does not create a confidentiality obligation.

HelpHuman is designed to reward merit, usefulness, and real-world value.

What is not accepted

  • - Illegal concepts
  • - Exploitative concepts
  • - Invasive surveillance
  • - Adult or sexual products
  • - Manipulative behavioral systems
  • - Harmful or violent concepts
  • - Products that prey on vulnerable people
  • - Medical, legal, or financial claims that cannot be responsibly handled
  • - Anything requiring compliance UVP is not ready to manage

9. Judging criteria

Judging may consider usefulness, clarity, originality, feasibility, safety, accessibility, and likely real-world impact.

10. Judging process

UVP-appointed judges review eligible submissions. Judges' decisions are final and binding, subject to applicable law.

11. Recognition

Recognition tiers may include feedback, support, or other cycle-specific recognition governed by the published cycle terms and any required written agreement.

12. Winner notification and response deadline

If selected, UVP will attempt to notify the entrant using the contact information provided. The selected entrant must respond within the stated deadline in the notification message or the recognition may be forfeited.

13. Intellectual property

Entrants keep ownership of their submissions unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Entry does not transfer ownership, create a license to build, or create an automatic collaboration right.

14. Privacy and sponsor rights

UVP collects only the information reasonably necessary to administer the challenge, may disqualify entries that violate the rules or applicable law, and may modify, suspend, or cancel the challenge if necessary for fairness, security, or compliance.

These rules keep the challenge fair, lawful, and clearly governed.

15. Publicity

By entering, you allow UVP to reference your name, city, submission title, and similar limited information for challenge-related publicity only when permitted by law and the published cycle terms.

16. Sponsor rights

UVP may modify, suspend, or cancel the challenge if necessary for security, fairness, or legal compliance, and may disqualify entries that violate the rules, contain false information, or are otherwise improper.

17. Additional sponsor protections

UVP is not responsible for independently developed ideas that are similar to an entrant's submission but were not derived from that submission.

18. Governing law and questions

These rules are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, subject to applicable law. Questions may be sent to helphuman@unshakenvoice.tech or mailed to P.O. Box 113, Rural Valley, Pennsylvania 16249.
